The study will analyse the dimensions of the foundations and location. Two fundamental concepts are included in this definition: quantified information, relationship with the type of building planned and the environment where it is located.
The environment where construction is located must also be considered. The recommendations must take into account whether other buildings or infrastructures will be affected by the construction.
The geotechnical report must be adapted to the building, you can not compare a study of a city location and a rocky mountain location.
Can I purchase the Construction Insurance - Decenal policy if I do not have a OCT or Geotechnical Report
Yes if no OCT report was done prior to construction you can still buy the insurance. But you will have to a a soil study and the price of the insurance will increase since the fundations can not be investigated after the construction.

Yes you can buy 10 year Decenal gaurantee after construction. The cost of the policy will be higher but we will be able to guide you through the process.
How long does the cover and policy last and how is it paid?
The cover lasts ten years and starts from when the premium is paid.
The Premium is a one off payment.
Is 10 year construction gaurantee obligatory?
No this type of cover is not obligatory but if you intend to sell the property then this policy is recommended. The reason why, is beacuse for the buyer to gain a mortgage, the bank requires new builds to have this policy in place.
